Ways in

A submarine surfacing in a field on Österlen. Clods of earth thrown up. It has run aground, brutally aground. On the tower stands a captain with binoculars and a big hat, looking out.

Only the tower is above ground. Nothing else.

It will beep. Make a bit of noise. Blink a little in the dark. It should be visible from a distance.

AI-generated mockup Not the finished work. Kilo class tower, as it is meant to look from the road at night.

You cannot get to it

It stands on private land. We decided that early, it is the simplest way.

There is a road past it. You can see it. You cannot walk there. You can only drive past.

What? A submarine!

Where it comes from

Go back to the nineties and the submarine panic. Even Gevalia put one on Lilla Torg in Malmö in 1996, to sell coffee. We are back there again.

What exists now

Specs, measurements, and what it costs. Alex can start welding as soon as the material is paid for. It is massive.

What could stop it: vandalism, probably. And too much faith that we can build this. Alex's time and patience above all.

What it takes

Sheet steel, frame, paint and anchors: about 41–51,000 kr. Welding time is separate.

Who builds it

Want to see it built?

Two ways to help: pass it on, or put money into the materials.

Pass it on

The cheapest way to help. Send it to someone who gets it.

Or fund it

Every krona goes straight into the build.
